Deploy it, and see a file move
MFT 2 · 3:33
Once its two secrets are set, the transfer is deployed and run on request, and the first file moves into the archive bucket. The schedule field, a cron expression, repeats the run.

What it covers
- Setting the FTP password and the bucket key as hidden secrets
- Deploying the transfer to devtest the same way as any integration
- Running it at once through the
direct:mft-runendpoint or the Run now button - The copied file in
weikio logsand in the admin UI's row per file - How placement picks the agent that runs the transfer
- The
schedulefield, a cron expression set to every fifteen minutes

- 0:02The earlier video published the transfer with two secret values unset.
- 0:06This video sets both values, deploys the transfer, then runs it once.
- 0:15The supplier's files stay on its FTP server.
- 0:18The folder holds the transfer and two remote definitions.
- 0:22With both secrets unset, nothing has moved.
- 0:29weikio secret set finance/supplier-ftp-password for devtest writes the password the supplier's remote reads.
- 0:41The same command writes the archive key.
- 0:43The value is typed hidden.
- 0:48weikio deploy finance/supplier-invoices for devtest takes the latest published version,
- 0:560.1.0.
- 0:58The command ends when agent dev reports the deployment running on a JVM.
- 1:06weikio invoke finance/supplier-invoices runs the transfer now instead of waiting for the schedule.
- 1:14The message goes to direct:mft-run, the run-now entry every transfer carries.
- 1:24weikio logs finance/supplier-invoices for devtest prints rclone's lines as rclone wrote them.
- 1:32The line of a moved file names the file and carries its size.
- 1:36The file lands in the archive bucket.
- 1:39The admin UI records a row for each file the transfer moves.
- 1:43Its action reads Copied, Weik.io's word for a file that landed as a new copy.
- 1:49The run ends with rclone's summary line.
- 1:55Both values were typed at a prompt that showed nothing.
- 1:58Your Weik.io installation seals each value as it stores it.
- 2:02Commands that list secrets show names, not values.
- 2:06A value written for devtest belongs to devtest only.
- 2:10What runs is the version the earlier video published,
- 2:13on a JVM on agent dev, like every integration.
- 2:18The invoke answered immediately because a run asked for now queues until the running run finishes.
- 2:24The transfer's page has a Run now button that sends to the same entry as the command.
- 2:29No one picks the agent,
- 2:31because placement matches what the deployment needs against what the agents are given.
- 2:36In devtest, agent dev took it.
- 2:39Both ends stay variables holding their remote definitions.
- 2:43What was missing were the two secret values.
- 2:49Every run so far happened because somebody asked.
- 2:52The transfer document also carries a schedule, a cron, a pattern of times.
- 2:58The scaffold wrote a run every fifteen minutes, and nobody changed it.
- 3:03Now every run comes on its own, minutes apart.
- 3:10The transfer is deployed and runs on a JVM on agent dev.
- 3:14The first file crossed from the supplier's server into the archive,
- 3:18and the logs and the row on the page both tell it.
- 3:21From here the schedule keeps the files moving on its own.
